Occasionally I will get a call to photograph a building. A building doesn’t move, I don’t worry about closed eyes, hair, clothing, or expressions.
“Lighting and composition” are key.
I was trained in commercial photography, and doing something a little different was nice.
HCA commissioned us to photograph their building with their NEW addition. The building faces north. The best times are just before sunrise or just after sunset. This past Tuesday morning, it rained; Tuesday evening was outstanding spring weather.
The best time is when the ambient and interior/exterior lights are balanced. Once I found my preferred building composition, I waited for just the right time to capture the image. I had a blast and was paid for it. I have an itch for other self-projects. I will share them with you soon. Thanks for reading.
